The “ Half-Full” Tiki Automaton©️TJK=Haxanthrobo
The perfect animated piece for a Tiki Bar….He raises his mug and appears to drink in a cycle…. head glows from the inside… looks spectacular in the dark!
He is 11” tall by 6.5” wide with three point theatrical lighting ( two key lights and one flicker inside the head) it is turned on and off by pushing down on the wooden ball on the back of the piece.
This automaton runs on 12VDC ( plugs into standard 120VAC outlet), “push on /push off” button at the back.
The figure sculpture masters were hand-sculpted by Thomas Kuntz. Molds were made in house. Each piece is pressure/ vacuum cast in high-quality resin, requiring many hours of fitting / tuning/finishing.
The figures are meticulously painted by hand, highly detailed with additional ground work.
The robust mechanisms are driven by a gear motor controlled by aluminum cams, brass levers and steel components mounted inside a wooden modular base. The outer shell is constructed from heavy wall PVC with natural Bamboo trim. It is completely handmade in my Canoga Park, Ca. studio.
Each Tiki sculpture comes with an illustrated, signed certificate and a page of workshop notes.
